Rami Noemi Diaz-Cooper

Rami Diaz-Cooper was born in El Paso TX on January 17, 1962 to Samuel H. Cooper & Ramona Diaz-Cooper. She attended Martin Luther King High School in New York, NY. In her Junior year, she transferred to Herbert Hoover High School in San Diego, CA; graduating in 1980. Rami graduated from the University of San Diego in 1985 after studying Business Administration & Management. She also studied Computer Science at San Diego Mesa College.

Rami had a rich & well-lived life personally, professionally and as a mother. She was a seasoned Human Resources professional, handling employee compensation & staffing needs and worked for several prestigious companies, including The George Washington University & WMATA. Rami was married in 1990 to her late husband Moussa in a civil ceremony in New York, NY and lived her married life in Beltsville, MD. She became a mother on December 28, 2001, when her beloved son Diego was born. Rami loved being Diego’s mother and she was always proud of her son & his accomplishments – academically and on the basketball court. She was adventurous, which helped her to visit and live in many places within the Continental US and Mexico. Rami was also a great cook, renown for her delicious Gumbo & Sockitomee Cake.

Rami was a generous soul that will be missed by her entire family. Rami is survived by her loving son Diego, her sisters Liduvina (Nina), Cuizelle, Yolanda, Hermelinda and her 90-year-old uncle Angel L. Diaz (Uncle Vincent). She is also survived by the multitude of nieces and nephews who will deeply mourn her passing, along with dear friends who became a part of her tribe.

Rami, you ran the race set before you & completed it on August 9, 2018.  From that date on, you joined that great cloud of witnesses in Heaven.
