Dolores Gallardo

It is with great sadness to announce the passing after a brief illness of Dolores N. Gallardo, 56, of Falls Church, VA. She went to be with the Lord and the angels on February 23, 2018. She was a beloved mother to Eduardo Salazar Gallardo; sister to late Leyda, Eduardo, Camelia, Marcos, Anita, Cesar and Raul; aunt to a multitude of nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends and coworkers whose hearts are broken by her passing. She was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on March 24, 1961, she was the last of eight born to the late Eduardo A. Gallardo and Camelia V. Celleri de Gallardo. She graduated from Business University in “Universidad Estatal de Guayaquil.” She arrived to the United States in 1995 to pursue the American Dream.
Dolores touched many lives with her love, compassion and witty sense of humor. She overcame many obstacles in her life. She encouraged family and friends to be better people and pursue their dreams and education. She loved food, music, was generous, loving and was also known to speak her mind. She kept up-to-date on what everyone in the family was doing through facebook. She loved hosting family gatherings, preparing delicious food two or three days in advance. She used to get mad if you did not tell her you were going to visit in advance because she always wanted to be ready with a delicious meal prior your arrival. She was always a helping hand in time of need. She was a loving mother to her son, always making sure he had everything he needed.
Her Funeral service will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Advent Funeral&Cremation Services, 7211 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22046, and a burial follow immediately, at National Memorial Park 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042.
