Robert Oliver Lutz

 

On April 14, 2017, Robert went home to be with his Lord. He was born to Paul and Helen Lutz in Allentown, PA. 

After leaving the Air Force at the end of WWII he graduated from Penn State with an engineering degree.  He moved to the Washington DC area where he worked for the Navy designing aircraft for over 30 years. 

He met his wife of 63 years, Edna, at Glen Echo Amusement Park dancing at the Spanish Ballroom. Robert was a charter member of the International Town and Country Club where for 50 years he enjoyed golfing, winning tournaments and teaching his children and grandchildren the love of golf. He also was honored to have served as a board member. Robert is survived by his daughter Valerie, two grandchildren, Adrienne(Antoine) and Alexander, and one great-grandson. 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday , April 18, 2017 at Advent Funeral and Cremation Services, 7211 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22046 at 11:30. Interment Fairfax Memorial Park. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations can be made to the Victor R. Lutz Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Carson Newman University, P.O. Box 529, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
