Carolyn J. Todd (nee Swann)

On August 18, loving wife, sister aunt and friend, Carolyn Todd departed this life to be with her savior.

Born October 10, 1954 in Baltimore MD to the late Horace V. Swann and E. Geraldine Swann. She was predeceased by two sisters, Charlotte Grogg and Joan Swann. She moved to the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia when she was 10 years old and attended Stonewall Jackson High School in Mt. Jackson Va. She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Dale City, VA and was a supporting member of the Girls Scouts, ACTS of Prince William County and other volunteer organizations.

She moved to the Washington DC area in 1972 to pursue a career as a Civil Servant in the US Government and she retired from Prince William County in 2015

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kenneth Todd of Dumfries, VA., sister, April L. Whitmer – nee Allen (John), of Edinburg VA, three brothers, Charles E Swann of Pensacola FL, Horace L (Lori) of Jacksonville FL and William D (Anna) of Springfield VA. She is also survived by a half sister Mildred Schreiber of Towson MD and a half brother Donald V Swann of Hanover PA as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be on September 2nd at 2:00PM at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Dale City Va., and Inurnment of her remains will be on September 3rd at 2:00PM at the Mt. Jackson Cemetery in Mt. Jackson, Va.

Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association in her honor.

    I met Carolyn an Epiphany Lutheran Church in 1992.
    Her beautiful heart out outshone so many.
    She always made time to listen, her replies were wise and caring.
    No doubt she is a special child of GOD.
