Oleyar, Arvyle B. of Falls Church, VA was received by the Lord on January 20, 2012. She was born on March 6, 1920 in Hoadley, VA and was the daughter of Dan and Evelyn Posey. She is survived by her devoted husband of 75 years, John M. Oleyar, Jr., her daughter, Linda O. Gallihugh of Northumberland, VA, and sons, John M. III of Lake Oswego, OR, Ronald C. of Massanutten, VA and Donald G. of Springfield, VA, as well as eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Undine Dean and Delphine Freeman, and a brother, Geoffrey Posey.
As stated in Galatians 5:22, she was the “…fruit of the spirit with love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness and faith.” She gave unconditional love and devotion to her husband and children. She often said, “My children come first.” Everyone she met was a friend.
Arvyle was a member and supporter of the Elks Auxiliary of the BPOE #2188. Her friendships and desire to help others were foremost in her life.
The memorial service will be held at the Graham Road United Methodist Church, 2929 Graham Road, Falls Church, VA 22042 on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Oregon Chapter, 7000 S. W.
