Celebrations, Catering and Reception Services

The Reception (or Repast) is a time for giving and sharing. Traditionally, it is a gesture extended by the family to those who have gathered to provide their love and support.  Whether offered during a “Celebration of Life” or after a more traditional service, this time is for friends to reflect, share, laugh and remember. It’s a therapeutic experience as the interconnected pathway from yesterday and today look forward to tomorrow. 

Our Suburban Maryland location offers a reception room for catered events, and our concierge is available to help plan the perfect gathering. She has inspected and evaluated many local, licensed caterers to insure your refreshments are creative, delicious and prepared with the finest ingredients.  Whether you choose a simple beverage service with appetizers or a casual meal, the smiles, hugs and memories of a well-lived life will warm every heart.

If you prefer small, informal gatherings during a visitation or a service, consider the Café services at both of our locations. Café service is available with complimentary beverage and snack service for your guests.  For extended wakes or receptions, please ask your funeral director about rates and accommodations.

If you would prefer to coordinate a celebration, reception or repast at another location, we can help you with that, too. This point in your life is often stressful and exhausting, so it’s good to unload some responsibilities to others.  We are here to do everything to make this experience easier and simpler.
